Our story begins in 2019, with a vision born from the majestic slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda. Known locally as the “Mountains of the Moon,” this UNESCO-recognized world heritage site is more than just our backdrop; it is the very soul of our company. It was here, amidst some of the most fertile volcanic soils and diverse ecosystems on the continent, that TETA’z Fresh Source was incorporated, founded on a simple but powerful belief: the world should taste the pure, unspoiled richness of African agriculture.
We started as a proudly African company with a global mission: to become a leading bridge between the nutrient-rich bounty of Uganda’s heartland and the health-conscious consumers across Europe and North America. We saw the growing international demand for organic, eco-friendly food not just as a trend, but as an opportunity—an opportunity to share a piece of Africa’s natural wealth while upholding the highest standards of environmental stewardship and community empowerment.
